En. text: The human eye is an organ that reacts to light and allows vision. Rod and cone cells in the retina allow conscious light perception and vision including color differentiation and the perception of depth. The human eye can differentiate between about 10 million colors and is possibly capable of detecting a single photon. The eye is part of the sensory nervous system.
Similar to the eyes of other mammals, the human eye's non-image-forming photosensitive ganglion cells in the retina receive light signals which affect adjustment of the size of the pupil, regulation and suppression of the hormone melatonin and entrainment of the body clock.
Structure: The eye is not shaped like a perfect sphere, rather it is a fused two-piece unit, composed of the anterior segment and the posterior segment. The anterior segment is made up of the cornea, iris and lens. The cornea is transparent and more curved, and is linked to the larger posterior segment, composed of the vitreous, retina, choroid and the outer white shell called the sclera. The cornea is typically about 11.5 mm (0.3 in) in diameter, and 1/2 mm (500 μm) in thickness near its center. The posterior chamber constitutes the remaining five-sixths; its diameter is typically about 24 mm. The cornea and sclera are connected by an area termed the limbus. The iris is the pigmented circular structure concentrically surrounding the center of the eye, the pupil, which appears to be black. The size of the pupil, which controls the amount of light entering the eye, is adjusted by the iris' dilator and sphincter muscles.
Light energy enters the eye through the cornea, through the pupil and then through the lens. The lens shape is changed for near focus (accommodation) and is controlled by the ciliary muscle. Photons of light falling on the light-sensitive cells of the retina (photoreceptor cones and rods) are converted into electrical signals that are transmitted to the brain by the optic nerve and interpreted as sight and vision. ...
Field of view: The approximate field of view of an individual human eye (measured from the fixation point, i.e., the point at which one's gaze is directed) varies by facial anatomy, but is typically 30° superior (up, limited by the brow), 45° nasal (limited by the nose), 70° inferior (down), and 100° temporal (towards the temple). For both eyes combined (binocular) visual field is 135° vertical and 200° horizontal. It is an area of 4.17 steradians or 13700 square degrees for binocular vision. When viewed at large angles from the side, the iris and pupil may still be visible by the viewer, indicating the person has peripheral vision possible at that angle.

Hu. text: Az emberi szem (oculus humanus) a látás érzékszerve az ember szervezetében, amely a környezeti objektumokról származó – az azokból eredő vagy róluk visszaverődő – fénysugarak érzékelésére szolgál, és optikai rendszerével leképezi azok alakját, térbeli helyzetét és színét. Ez a kép idegi ingerületek formájában továbbítódik a központi idegrendszerbe, ahol az agy feldolgozza, és szükség szerint tudatosul. Az embernél a látás a külvilágról való tájékozódásban és az ahhoz való alkalmazkodásban alapvető szerepet játszik. Az egyik legfontosabb érzékszerv.

Az emberi szem: Az ember látószervének (organum visus) fő része a szemgolyó, de a látószervhez szervesen hozzátartoznak a szemidegek és a folytatásukba eső idegpályák tractus opticus és radiatio optica, valamint a szem járulékos szervei. Az emberi szem – a fényképezőgépek optikai rendszerének analógiája szerint – egyszerű, két részből álló gyűjtőlencse típusú objektívvel rendelkezik. A külső a szaruhártya, a belső a szemlencse. A szivárványhártya (iris), amely a szem színét is meghatározza, a szembe lépő fény mennyiségét csökkenti. A szivárványhártya nyílása a pupilla, melynek átmérője a fényerősségtől függően változik, a fényrekesz szerepét tölti be. A belépő fénysugarak áthaladnak az üvegtesten (corpus vitreum) és a recehártyára (retina) fókuszálódnak. Ezután a központi idegrendszer közreműködésével alakul ki a kép. ....
Alkalmazkodás: Az előbbiek szerint a szem nyugalmi állapotban távolra nézésre beállítódott állapotban van. Közelre nézéshez a szemlencse törőerejének fokozására van szükség Ezt a szem azzal éri el, hogy a sugártest izomzata összehúzódik, ezzel jobban kiemelkedik, és a lencsefüggesztő rostok ellazulnak. A szemlencse természetes rugalmasságánál fogva domborúbbá válik, törőereje fokozódik. Az alkalmazkodás (accomodatio) tehát a sugárizom (musculus ciliaris) aktív működésén és a szemlencse rugalmasságán alapul. Az életkorral az utóbbi csökken, emiatt alakul ki az időskori távollátás (presbiopia). A szem optikailag egészséges, fiatal állapotban sem tökéletes szerkezet. Nagyon kicsi a mélységélessége, azaz csak azt a kisméretű, síkszerű és szűk teret képes élesen látni, amelyre éppen fókuszál. A szem sugártestizomzatának romlását, idő előtti kifáradását például okozhatja a szembe lógó haj. A szem beállítása hol a nézendő tárgyra, hol a hajra fókuszál, ami gyors kifáradását okozza.
A szem perifériás látása is elég gyenge és életlen. Mindezeket nagyban kompenzálja azonban a központi idegrendszer működése, amely a kapott információkat feldolgozza. „Olyan a szeme mint a sasé”- bizonyára ismerős a mondás, de az esetek többségében közel sem igaz. Legalábbis addig biztosan nem, amíg nem tesz érte az ember.
Először is tisztázzuk, miért lát a sas sokkal jobban, mint az ember. Mindenkivel megesett már, hogy tétova léptekkel közeledett az utcán egy másik ember felé, akit talán ismer, talán nem, de meg kellett várnia, hogy legalább 5-6 méterre legyenek egymástól, hogy eldöntse, valóban az jön-e szembe, akire gondolt. Velünk ellentétben a sasoknak nincsenek ilyen problémái. Ők ugyanis már 100 méter magasságból is észreveszik a préda-egeret.

A különbség fő oka a magasabb rendű fénytörési hibákban keresendő. Az elnevezés előkelő, de valójában mit is jelent ez a kifejezés?
A szemünk az egyik legegyedibb dolog az egész testünkön. Persze egyedi az ujjlenyomatunk is, de a retina még annál is sokkal különlegesebb. A legegyedibb testrészünknek az apró hibái is egyediek. Az éleslátásunkat nem csak az alacsonyabb rendű, hanem a magasabb rendű fénytörési hibák is befolyásolják Az alacsonyabb rendű fénytörési hibákat a szemgolyónk alakja és szemünk szaruhártyájának egyenetlensége befolyásolja. Olyan a szemünk felszíne, mint egy változatos domborzat, aminek minden pontja másképpen töri a fényt. Ezek okozzák a dioptria és cilinder hibákat. Lehetséges például, hogy bár átlagosan -3-as dioptriája van valakinek, de ez az érték a szem szaruhártyájának középső részén csak -2,8-as, a szélei felé haladva pedig -3,2-es. ... A legtapasztaltabb hazai látásjavító lézerklinikán az elmúlt 22 évben már több mint 100 000 kezelést végeztek. ...

Astigmatism: is a type of refractive error in which the eye does not focus light evenly on the retina. This results in distorted or blurred vision at all distances. Other symptoms can include eyestrain, headaches, and trouble driving at night. If it occurs early in life it can result in amblyopia.
The cause of astigmatism is unclear. It is believed to be partly related to genetic factors. The underlying mechanism involves an irregular curvature of the cornea or abnormalities in the lens of the eye. Diagnosis is by an eye exam.
Three options exist for the treatment: glasses, contact lenses, and surgery. Glasses are the simplest. Contact lenses can provide a wider field of vision. Refractive surgery permanently changes the shape of the eye.

Asztigmatizmus: Az optikában az asztigmatizmus vagy asztigmia (nem pontszerű leképezés) oka, hogy az optikai tengelytől viszonylag távol eső tárgypontból kiinduló fénysugarak közül, a lencsén való áthaladás után, a vízszintes síkban haladók nem azonos pontban egyesülnek, mint a függőleges síkban haladók. Ugyanúgy, mint a tükör esetén, még ha keskeny fénynyaláb esik is a lencsére, ha az optikai tengellyel nagy szöget zár be, nem egyetlen pontba képeződik le, hanem két rövid, egymásra merőleges, éles vonallá húzódik össze. Az egyik vonal a lencséhez közelebb, a másik a lencsétől távolabb keletkezik. A két képvonalat a tárgypontból különböző irányban induló sugarak hozzák létre.
Anasztigmát: Az anasztigmát olyan, az asztigmatizmustól mentes optikai lencserendszer, amely szimmetrikusan vagy aszimmetrikusan több összetett lencséből áll, s nagy látószögben is éles leképezést ad. Ilyenek például a nagy fényerejű objektívek, de napjainkban minden jó minőségű lencse anasztigmát. Az 1890-es évektől gyártanak anasztigmát lencserendszereket fényképezőgépekhez. A színes fényképezés megjelenéséig a Tessar-objektívek voltak a legnépszerűbbek, majd a Zeiss vette át a helyüket.
Látászavar: Az asztigmiát a szem fénytörő közegeinek fénytörési hibája okozza. A szaruhártya felszíne nem sima, hanem az egyik átmérő irányában domborúbb, és a másik irányban laposabb. Az asztigmia homályos látást okoz, akár közelre, akár távolra néz a szem. A leggyakoribb látászavar; az emberek felének van kis mértékű asztigmiája. Míg például a rövidlátó szemben a retina - síkja helyett az - előtti síkban képeznének éles képet (de nincs ott az ernyőként funkcionáló ideghártya), addig az asztigmiás szemben nincs egy ilyen sík, mivel a szemből nézett szem optikai hibája más-más egy adott és a rá merőleges irányban. Az asztigmikus szemben a szemlencse, vagy a szaruhártya olyan módon torz, hogy egyik síkban máshogy téríti el a szembe érkező fénysugarakat, mint a rá merőleges irányban. Ezért az asztigmiás szem nem korrigálható szférikus, csak cilinderes lencsével, amelynek két (egymástól eltérő) dioptria értéke van. Például vízszintes irányban -2.25 dioptriás, a rá merőleges irányban meg -3.00 D erősségű. A szemüvegoptikában ezt úgy fejezik ki, hogy megadják az egyik dioptria értéket, és hozzáírják a két dioptria érték közötti különbséget (jelen példában például -2.25 -0.75 cilinderrel 90 fokban, vagy -3.00 D +0.75 cilinderrel 180 fokban). Ezzel a két irányban eltérő korrekcióval lehet a torz képet adó szemet kisegíteni, hogy az éles kép mindkét síkban a retinára essen. Leggyakrabban az asztigmiás vízszintes és függőleges irányban kíván más más korrekciót, de sokan vannak, akik ettől eltérő fokban álló leképezési hibával rendelkeznek. Hu. text: Bárány Nándor (Kisbér, 1899. május 31. – Budapest, 1977. október 6.) magyar gépészmérnök, egyetemi tanár, a Magyar Tudományos Akadémia tagja (l. 1953), Kossuth-díjas (1951).
17 éves korában egy pályázaton díjat nyert a színképelemzéssel foglalkozó munkájával. Érettségi után (1917) katonai szolgálatra hívták be.
1923-ban a Budapesti Műszaki Egyetem gépészmérnöki karára nyert felvételt, itt szerezte diplomáját 1928-ban. Később a honvédség állományába került, ahol mint műszaki tiszt, mérnök őrnagyi rangot szerzett. A Süss Nándor-féle Precíziós Mechanikai Intézetben (MOM) végzett optikai kutatómunkát 1945-ig .
1954-től a Budapesti Műszaki Egyetemen docense, 1956-tól egyetemi tanára, 1957-től a finommechanikai-optikai tanszék tanszékvezető egyetemi tanára, az alkalmazott optika hazai úttörője. 1967-ben vonult nyugdíjba.
Az finommechanikai-optikai műszerszerkesztés területén számos új, tudományosan megalapozott tervezési módszer fűződik nevéhez. 1974-től társszerkesztője volt a Finommechanika-Mikrotechnika c. tudományos folyóiratnak. Tehetséges amatőrfényképész volt, több pályázatot nyert. A Fotóművészet című lapba számos népszerű tudományos cikket írt.

Biografio: Nándor Bárány aĝis 17, kiam li atingis la unuan lokon en konkurso per fakartikolo pri spektra analizo. Li abiturientis en 1917, poste li tuj soldatiĝis. Post 2 jaroj li batalis ankaŭ en la Hungara Ruĝa Armeo. Poste tuj li ne rajtis plulerni, tial li eklaboris. Li frekventis universitaton en Budapeŝto inter 1923-1928, poste li aliĝis al la armeo, kie li atingis la rangon majoro. Poste li laboris en fabriko, kie oni produktis maŝinojn kaj optikaĵojn. Ekde 1954 li instruis en la universitato. Li emeritiĝis en 1967. Li ricevis premion Kossuth en 1951.

Geschichte:
Zum 1. Juli 1990 wurde das Kombinat VEB Carl Zeiss Jena in die Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH überführt, die ab September 1990 unter dem Namen Jenoptik Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH firmierte. Gleichzeitig wurden 12 weitere Betriebe des Kombinates rechtlich verselbständigt. Am 1. Oktober 1991 wurde die Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH mit 2800 Mitarbeitern[1] gegründet. Sie übernahm das optische Kerngeschäft des ehemaligen Kombinates. Die Jenoptik GmbH (seit 1996 Jenoptik AG) übernahm die verbliebenen Bereiche. Seit 1995 ist die Carl Zeiss AG mit Sitz in Oberkochen die alleinige Gesellschafterin der Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH.
Ab 1995 wurde das Joint-Venture Zeiss BelOMO als Produktionsstandort in Minsk aufgebaut. Bis 1997 wurden mehrere Geschäftsbereiche aus der Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH ausgegründet, darunter die optische Koordinatenmesstechnik, die Analysenmesstechnik und die Laserfertigung. Die bis dahin noch an beiden Standorten vorhandenen Bereiche Geodäsie und Photogrammetrie wurden 1997 in Jena beziehungsweise Oberkochen zusammengefasst und 1999 in Joint Ventures eingebracht. Im Jahr 2002 nahm die Carl Zeiss Meditec AG ihre Geschäfte auf. In diesem Unternehmen ging der Bereich Ophthalmologie der Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH auf.
Die Bereiche für Mikroskopie der Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH und an anderen Standorten von Zeiss wurden 2006 in der Carl Zeiss MicroImaging (heute Microscopy) zusammengeführt. Seit 2009 gehört das Geschäftsfeld Planetarien zum Zeiss-Konzern. Am 1. März 2009 wurden Produktions- und Technologiebereiche in Oberkochen und Jena rechtlich in der Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH zusammengeführt. Damit ist die Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH heute die zentrale Produktionsgesellschaft für Optik- und Mechanikfertigung der Zeiss-Gruppe.
Seit dem 1. Juli 2015 gehört die Carl Zeiss Spectroscopy GmbH (eine Ausgründung aus dem Portfolio der Microscopy) als Tochterunternehmen der Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH. Diese Firma fertigt erfolgreich Spektrometer-Komponenten und Komplettsysteme für die Spectro-Optische Analyse und Qualitätskontrolle (für Laboranwendungen und On-Line) in unterschiedlichen Industriezweigen (z. Budapest XII. kerület, Csörsz utca
Kolozsvár, majd Budapesten a Mozsár utca és az Alkotás utca voltak a cég előző telephelyei. A Németvölgyben, a mai Alkotás utca 2×3 útpályás forgalmát tekintve különösnek tűnik, hogy az utolsó helyszínt éppen a villamos által keltett rezgések miatt kellett elhagyni. Így települt a vállalat a mai Csörsz utcai terület egy részére. 3-4 évtized alatt, folyamatos fejlesztések hatására foglalta el az Alkotás utca, Csörsz utca, Nagy Jenő utca és Dolgos utca által határolt területet. A nyolcvanas évek közepéig állandóan bővült, megújult az épületegyüttes. Az utolsó beruházások egy része kényszerűségből született, mivel a második világháború előtt készült épületek a gyors kötést biztosító bauxit betonból készültek, már a hatvanas évek elején állandó figyelést, statikus megerősítést igényeltek. A hatvanas évek végén készült a négyemeletes korszerű raktárépület, valamint a ma már FOTEX Rt. tulajdonban lévő optikai toronyház. Az országban kevés vállalat települt ilyen gyönyörű környezetben. Az itt dolgozók nap mint nap gyönyörködhettek a Sas-hegy, Gellért-hegy, Széchenyi-hegy látványában. Az első kapavágások idején a Budai vár, a Rózsadomb és a Hármashatárhegy is a panoráma része volt.
Az 1997-ben megkezdett bontási műveletek szívszorító látványt nyújtottak az arra járóknak. A közel százéves műemlék jellegű épületek mellett alig tíz éve átadott vasbeton szerkezetű műhelyek is bontási romhalmazzá váltak. Nemcsak az egykori MOM dolgozók könnyezték meg a fizikai megsemmisülést, hiszen enyészetté vált a több mint száz év alatt kialakult, világszínvonalra jutó magyar finommechanikai ipar is.

Manapság, amikor az olcsóbb okostelefonokba is 8-10-12 megapixeles kameramodulokat szerelnek a gyártók – nem is beszélve a szélsőségekről, pl a Sony 48 megapixeles eszközéről – , még a fényképezés iránt kevés affinitással bíró emberek is képben vannak nagyjából a digitális fotók felbontását illetően. Felvetődhet a kérdés, hogy ha a telefonunk borsónyi kamerája és a mögötte lévő szenzor 12 megapixeles (tehát 12 millió képpontból álló) képeket tud rögzíteni, akkor milyen felbontású lehet a szemünk?
Az nyilvánvaló, hogy nem igazán hasonlítható össze a látásunkért felelős érzékszerv a zsebünkben megbújó telefon, vagy egy digitális fényképezőgép képalkotó rendszerével. Ennek fő oka, hogy az emberi látás nem állóképeket rögzít. A szemünk által közvetített látványt az agy folyamatosan dolgozza föl, és a szemünk is folyamatosan mozgásban van, az előttünk lévő tér különböző szeleteit úgymond letapogatva - tehát sokkal inkább lehetne egy nagy látószögű mozgásérzékelős biztonsági kamera élőben streamelt képét analógiául venni. ...

Bárány Nándor, a huszadik századi magyar műszeripar egyik legkiemelkedőbb alakja – a Magyar Tudományos Akadémia levelező tagja, a Budapesti Műszaki Egyetem tanára, számtalan egyedi műszerszerkezet kidolgozója –, kutató fejlesztőként, katonai mérnökként, egyetemi oktatóként, alkotó fényképészként és az optikai-finommechanikai műszerépítés hazai irodalmának egyik legtermékenyebb szakírójaként alkotott maradandót. A sokak számára példaként szolgáló gazdag életpálya a Magyar Optikai Műveknél indult, de dolgozott a Gamma Optikai és Finommechanikai Gyárnál, igazgatója volt az Optikai és Finommechanikai Központi Kutató Laboratóriumnak is. 1951-ben Kossuth-díjat kapott elméleti és gyakorlati alapon felépülő műszerek és készülékek megvalósításáért, illetve kivitelezéséért.

The Oculus Rift is a virtual reality headset developed and manufactured by Oculus VR, released on March 28, 2016.
Oculus proposed a Kickstarter campaign in 2012 to fund the Rift's development, after being founded as an independent company two months prior. The project proved successful, raising US$2.5 million from the campaign for the development of the product. In March 2014, Facebook purchased Oculus for $2 billion.
The Rift has gone through various pre-production models since the Kickstarter campaign, around five of which were demonstrated to the public. Two of these models were shipped to backers, labelled as 'development kits'; the DK1 in mid 2013 and DK2 in mid 2014, to give developers a chance to develop content on time for the Rift's release. The Rift has an OLED display, 1080×1200 resolution per eye, a 90 Hz refresh rate, and 110° field of view. It has integrated headphones which provide a 3D audio effect, rotational and positional tracking. The positional tracking system, called "Constellation", is performed by a USB stationary infrared sensor that is picking up light that is emitted by IR LEDs that are integrated into the hmd. Persze, más összefüggésben. Azért emelem ide a Magyarországot nem értőkre utaló fordulatot, hogy erőteljesebb ívet húzzak a múlt valóságos viszonyai, illetve annak egyre mesésebbnek mutatott, mitikus képe között.
Mindenekelőtt mérlegelésre ajánlom, hogy az említett mai, társadalmi értelemben vett visszaépítési kísérlet, amely eltérő mértékben ugyan, de szinte egész Kelet-Európát jellemzi, mindenki bőrére megy. Ne áltassuk magunkat ennek ellenkezőjével! Magyarországon, ahol a visszarendeződés különösen erőteljes, talán nem túlzok, ha azt állítom: a lét és a nemlét kérdésévé válhat, hogy képesek leszünk-e gondolkodásunk központi elemévé tenni a múlt ügyeiben való eligazodást a politikai intézményrendszertől független történészek, felelős közírók kalauzolásával. Mert a nemzeti nem együttműködés rendszerét ránk erőltetők immár nem csak saját politikai közegüket, hanem a média-, a tudományos és oktatási rendszert, a kulturális terület megannyi fórumát, nem utolsó sorban a legtöbb egyházat felhasználják arra, hogy meghamisítsák a múltat. En. text: The ring-tailed lemur (Lemur catta) is a large strepsirrhine primate and the most recognized lemur due to its long, black and white ringed tail. It belongs to Lemuridae, one of five lemur families, and is the only member of the Lemur genus. Like all lemurs it is endemic to the island of Madagascar. Known locally in Malagasy as maky ([makʲ] (About this soundlisten), spelled maki in French) or hira, it inhabits gallery forests to spiny scrub in the southern regions of the island. It is omnivorous and the most terrestrial of extant lemurs. The animal is diurnal, being active exclusively in daylight hours.
The ring-tailed lemur is highly social, living in groups of up to 30 individuals. It is also female dominant, a trait common among lemurs. To keep warm and reaffirm social bonds, groups will huddle together. The ring-tailed lemur will also sunbathe, sitting upright facing its underside, with its thinner white fur towards the sun. Like other lemurs, this species relies strongly on its sense of smell and marks its territory with scent glands. The males perform a unique scent marking behavior called spur marking and will participate in stink fights by impregnating their tail with their scent and wafting it at opponents.
As one of the most vocal primates, the ring-tailed lemur uses numerous vocalizations including group cohesion and alarm calls. Experiments have shown that the ring-tailed lemur, despite the lack of a large brain (relative to simiiform primates), can organize sequences, understand basic arithmetic operations and preferentially select tools based on functional qualities.
Despite reproducing readily in captivity and being the most populous lemur in zoos worldwide, numbering more than 2,000 individuals, the ring-tailed lemur is listed as endangered by the IUCN Red List due to habitat destruction and hunting for bush meat and the exotic pet trade.
